“We Will Bring Your Sister and Nephews Home Safely” – Makinde Assures Adelabu

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde paid a solidarity visit on Friday to the Ibadan residence of former Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu. The governor’s visit followed the abduction of the former minister’s younger sister and her twin sons.

Governor Makinde gave a firm assurance that the state government would rescue the victims. He stated that security agencies were actively working on the case. “You are all aware of what happened to the younger sister of my dear brother, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu,” the governor told newsmen. “I actually came to brief him on what the government has been doing regarding that incident,” he added.

The governor then offered a direct promise to the family. “My visit is also to let him know that by the grace of God, we will bring her and her sons back,” Governor Makinde declared.

He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to collaborating with all security agencies. Furthermore, he vowed that the perpetrators of the crime would be apprehended and brought to justice.

Family members and close associates of the former minister received the governor with gratitude. They expressed hope that the victims would return home safely. However, the search for the abducted sister and her twin sons continued into its third day. Authorities have since launched a massive manhunt for the suspects in Ibadan and its environs.
