Indian police dismantled a drug peddling network after they arrested three Nigerians along with one local in Bengaluru.
Indian authorities arrested three Nigerian nationals in Bengaluru on drug trafficking charges. The Anti-Narcotic Wing of the Central Crime Branch conducted raids based on intelligence and seized substantial quantities of narcotics.
Officers targeted a house in the Madanayakanahalli area. They apprehended Ambemo Jela Victor, aged 37, Chime Ndubunsi Moses, aged 36, and Karikari Ames, aged 33. Police also detained one Indian accomplice during the operation.
Investigators recovered 10.27 kilograms of MDMA crystals and 2.044 kilograms of hydroponic ganja from the suspects. Authorities valued the drugs at around 23 crore Indian rupees, which equals approximately 3.36 billion Nigerian naira. The MDMA alone accounted for 21 crore rupees.
Police stated the group operated a distribution network in the city. The arrests followed a tip-off that led to coordinated action by the specialized unit. This case formed part of broader efforts to curb synthetic drug trade in the region.
Indian police intensified operations against international syndicates. The three Nigerians faced charges related to possession and intent to supply prohibited substances. Officials transported the suspects for further questioning and legal proceedings.
