OFFICIAL: Cubana Chief Priest Buys APC Nomination Form for Reps Seat

Socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress on Thursday. He intends to contest the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat in Imo State for the 2027 elections.

Cubana Chief Priest shared the development on his Instagram page. He displayed the forms during a visit to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu and patron of the City Boy Movement.

“Stopped by to see my patron, the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, Seyi Tinubu, with my nomination and expression of interest form for blessings,” Cubana Chief Priest wrote. “When I say City Boy Movement, you say empowering the youth. Chukwu Bu Ike M.”

The socialite first declared his intention to run under the APC platform for the constituency. He toured parts of Orsu, Orlu, and Oru East recently. During the tour, he promised to invest personally in community development if elected.

Cubana Chief Priest built his profile as a nightlife entrepreneur and social media personality. Supporters highlighted his business success and appeal to young voters. They viewed his entry as a fresh face in Nigerian politics.

However, critics questioned his political experience. They pointed to his past public comments on regional insecurity as evidence of limited governance background.

The purchase of the forms marked a formal step in the APC primary process. Party officials confirmed that aspirants must complete screening and other requirements before the primaries.

Cubana Chief Priest positioned his bid around youth empowerment. He aligned himself with the City Boy Movement during the visit to Seyi Tinubu. This connection suggested he sought broader political blessings and networks.

As the 2027 general elections approach, several celebrities have shown interest in elective positions. Cubana Chief Priest joined this trend by acquiring the APC nomination documents.

He maintained that his business acumen would translate into effective representation for the people of Orsu/Orlu/Oru East. The socialite continued to use social media to engage potential constituents after the purchase.
