The Kano State House of Assembly has concluded the screening of Murtala Sule Garo, nominated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the position of Deputy Governor.
The screening exercise was conducted by an ad hoc committee led by the Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Bello Butu Butu, who oversaw the deliberations.
Speaking after the exercise, a member of the committee said, “The process was thorough and in line with legislative procedures. We assessed the nominee’s qualifications, experience, and capacity to serve effectively.”
DAILY POST reports that the committee is expected to submit its report to the full House on Monday, where lawmakers will take a final decision on whether to confirm the nomination.
A legislative source noted, “The Assembly will carefully review the committee’s findings before making a final determination on the appointment.”
