“I Ask My Wife to Pray Tinubu Never Stops Backing Me”– Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, disclosed that he asked his wife Suzzette to pray for President Bola Tinubu to continue supporting the FCT Administration. Wike made the revelation on Tuesday during the commissioning of a water supply network to Bwari Satellite Town.

Wike highlighted ongoing projects as part of activities to mark Tinubu’s third year in office. He attributed successes in the capital to the president’s backing.

Wike explained the importance of presidential support for ministers. He noted his previous roles as governor and minister.

“You must have that support and that’s why each day I wake up I tell my wife because she prays a lot, I don’t know how to pray very well, the best prayer I can pray is lord, let me come back safely today, but she prays very well; so continue to pray that Mr President will not look away from us,” Wike said.

He added that Tinubu provided all necessary support to transform the FCT. “Mr president has given FCT all the support required to change the narratives,” Wike stated.

Wike stressed that governance aimed to improve lives. He said residents showed appreciation by voting for Tinubu supported candidates in the area council elections.

“I have said to people, I was a governor and I was a minister before, you can be a minister and if you don’t have that support it will be difficult for you to go forward,” Wike remarked.

He pledged that the FCT Administration would not disappoint the president. Wike noted that happy residents reflected effective governance under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
