Dominic Solanke scored a stoppage-time header to secure a 1-1 draw for 10-man Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Tottenham dominated large periods of the Premier League match. However, the visitors failed to convert several clear chances in the first half and early second half.
Manchester United broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. Matheus Cunha played the ball to Bryan Mbeumo inside the penalty area. Mbeumo turned sharply and fired a low shot past Antonin Kinsky.
Five minutes later, the contest changed again. Rodrigo Bentancur received a straight red card after he headbutted Luke Shaw during a confrontation. The dismissal left Tottenham with 10 men for the closing stages.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Tottenham continued to press. In the second minute of stoppage time, Sandro Tonali delivered a cross from the left. Dominic Solanke, who captained Tottenham for the first time, rose above Lisandro Martinez and glanced the ball past Senne Lammens.

The equaliser earned Tottenham their third point of the season. The result also lifted the North London side off the bottom of the table.
After the match, Dominic Solanke spoke about the result. “In the first half we dominated,” Solanke said. “We weren’t clinical enough. A story of the season. We could have been a few goals ahead. We’ll take a point.”
He added: “The character shown was magnificent. I should have had a hat-trick. I wasn’t clinical enough. I know that. But I kept going.”
Manchester United collected their sixth point from six matches. Tottenham remained winless after six games. Both sides left Old Trafford with a share of the spoils after a tense evening.
