EPL: Arsenal Edge Hull City 1-0 to Extend Premier League Lead

Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium. The result extended the hosts’ lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Martin Odegaard, Arsenal captain, scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute. Noni Madueke drove a powerful effort toward goal that Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis could only parry. Odegaard reacted quickest and finished the rebound into the net.

Hull City resisted Arsenal’s pressure for long periods. The visitors created early threats and forced the home side to work hard. Arsenal controlled possession but struggled to break down a compact defence in the first half. The score remained 0-0 at the break.

After the restart, Arsenal increased their intensity. Madueke continued to pose problems on the wing. The breakthrough finally arrived when Odegaard converted the rebound.

Arsenal pushed for a second goal in the closing stages. Madueke nearly added to the lead after attempting to round the goalkeeper, yet Hull City cleared the danger. The Gunners defended solidly and preserved a clean sheet.

The win gave Arsenal 27 points from 10 matches. They recorded nine victories and one defeat. Hull City, meanwhile, remained winless in recent league outings.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager, watched his side maintain their strong home record. The squad will next turn attention to the international break before returning to league action.
