Davido Announces ‘ORIADÉ’ Concert at National Theatre

David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, announced a three-night concert residency at the National Theatre in Lagos on Friday. The event, titled Oriadé: The Residency, will take place from December 17 to 19.

Davido shared the news on his verified Instagram page. He wrote: “LAGOS!!! We are bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.” He added that the world has shown us so much love. The post included videos of his past performances alongside images of Lagos and the National Theatre.

The residency will celebrate 15 years of Davido’s music career. It will also spotlight material from his latest album, Oriadé. Organisers expect the nights to feature new songs, career hits and special guests. Tickets go on general sale on September 25, with early access for his 30BG fan base.

In a separate interview, Davido described the project as very dear to him. He said this one is very, very dear to me because we’re doing it at home. He further noted that he feels super pumped for the three-night residency coming in December.

The concerts will be held at the National Theatre, also known as the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts. The venue reopened in 2025 after major renovation. Davido rose to prominence in 2011 with the single Dami Duro and has since built a global catalogue that includes tracks such as If, Fall and Aye.

The announcement positions the residency as a key part of Lagos’s December festive season. Davido has previously performed to sold-out crowds across Africa, Europe and North America. The December dates bring the celebration of his 15-year journey back to Nigeria.
