The Independent National Electoral Commission urged eligible Nigerians on Saturday to complete their Continuous Voter Registration before the exercise ends on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The commission issued the reminder in a public notice shared on its official X handle. It warned that the registration window would close the following day.
“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission said.
Furthermore, the electoral body stated that prospective voters could complete their registration online from start to finish through its dedicated CVR portal at cvr.inecnigeria.org. Those who needed assistance could visit any INEC state office, local government area office or designated registration centre for physical help.
The commission also stated that all registration centres would remain open daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise ends.
“You can complete your voter registration online from start to finish via cvr.inecnigeria.org. If you need assistance, visit any INEC State Office, LGA Office, or designated registration centre to complete your registration in person,” the commission added.
The Continuous Voter Registration formed part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections. It enabled eligible Nigerians and those seeking to update their voter information to join the national register of voters.
In addition, the commission encouraged citizens who had begun the process online to complete any remaining steps, including biometric capture where required, before the deadline.
