FCT Shows Visible Improvements Under Wike, Tinubu States

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu praised the transformation of the Federal Capital Territory during his administration. He made the remarks while assessing ongoing projects in Abuja.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike led extensive road rehabilitation efforts. Authorities completed the Southern Parkway, now named Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way. They also rebuilt the Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa and advanced several arterial roads.

Wike explained that these projects moved faster because of Tinubu’s support. “President Bola Tinubu approaches governance as a serious business that must succeed,” he said. As a result, residents experienced better mobility and reduced traffic congestion in key areas.

Wike expanded development beyond the city center. His team delivered rural roads, school rehabilitations, and water schemes across the six area councils. Security improved after officials supplied over 100 vehicles to agencies.

President Tinubu visited project sites and endorsed the changes. “You took my charge to make Abuja work and you are executing it well. From roads to bridges, from city centre to satellite towns, you are domesticating Renewed Hope across the FCT,” Tinubu stated.

Local observers noted smoother traffic flow and safer neighborhoods after the upgrades. Wike highlighted that inherited projects gained new momentum under the current leadership. Officials integrated them into a broader development framework that delivered quick results.

The minister continued to push for more projects in education, healthcare, and sanitation. Tinubu urged Wike to ignore distractions and focus on delivery. These steps marked a shift toward practical governance in the capital.
