Adeleke, Bamidele and Radda Back Tinubu for 2027, Praise His Reforms

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, describing it as a natural duty. He spoke on Monday after inspecting the ongoing reconstruction of the Ibadan-Ile-Ife-Ilesa expressway.

The Governor stated he needed no persuasion to back the President because Osun is the President’s ancestral birthplace. He framed the endorsement as “a moral and development-driven action in the best interest of Osun and Yoruba people at large.”

Governor Adeleke also expressed gratitude for federal infrastructure projects. “I am elated at the speed and quality of work,” he said, noting that the reconstruction would complement his administration’s delivery of over 300 kilometres of state roads.

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Leader of the Senate, praised President Tinubu’s leadership and argued his candidacy would “fine-tune ongoing reforms to make Nigeria a prosperous nation.” He highlighted that the President took tough decisions to secure future generations during a difficult economic period.

He pointed to rising oil production, which increased to 1.71 million barrels per day, and growing foreign reserves as proof of economic progress. Senator Bamidele further credited the administration for establishing the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which he said disbursed about N242bn to over 1.1 million students. “Your track records show that you are an agent of change,” he stated.

To secure electoral victory, Senator Bamidele pledged to deliver at least 10 million votes from the South-West geopolitical zone. “The machinery to deliver those votes is already in motion,” he confirmed. Simultaneously, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State worked to consolidate the party’s northern base.

After casting his vote during the APC presidential primary in Charanchi Local Government Area, he described the massive turnout as a testament to democratic commitment. The Governor asserted that what he saw gave the party confidence. “It has improved and given us confidence that come 2027, at all levels, APC is going to win the election by God’s grace,” he said.
