Nigerian singer Portable welcomed a baby boy with Omobewaji Ewatomi on Friday. The birth occurred hours after stepped into the ring for a celebrity boxing match against content creator Carter Efe.

Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, shared the news shortly after the fight. He revealed that the delivery coincided with his time in the boxing arena. “While my wife was in labour, I was fighting,” he stated. “She gave birth to a boy.”

The singer noted that the newborn became his third child with Omobewaji Ewatomi. He expressed joy over the arrival and linked it to his performance in the ring. Portable added that he sought victory as a gift for his children. “I wanted a third belt for my children; I already have two,” he said. “You can have the belt.”

Portable further explained his mindset during the match. He told fans that a child held greater value than any prize. “You can buy a belt with money, but you can’t buy a child,” he declared.

The development came after Portable lost the boxing contest to Carter Efe. Despite the defeat, the singer celebrated the new addition to his family. He used the moment to highlight the timing of events in his personal life. Transitioning from the ring to fatherhood, Portable showed excitement about the baby’s arrival.

Omobewaji Ewatomi and the newborn remained in good health, according to reports from those close to the family. The singer continues to balance his music career and public life with growing family responsibilities.
