Comedian and streamer Carter Efe defeated singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, in a celebrity boxing match on Saturday night. The bout took place at the Balmoral Convention Center as part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 event.
The two entertainers had engaged in weeks of heated online exchanges and a dramatic face-off. Portable entered the fight as the favorite because of his background as a professional boxer with over a decade of experience.
Carter Efe made his pro boxing debut in the contest. Promoters Amir Khan’s AK Promotions and Balmoral Group Promotions organized the event, which drew celebrities such as Timaya and D’banj to the venue.
Carter Efe landed powerful shots in the first round and knocked Portable down. He maintained control as Portable tired quickly. The fight ended in the second round, and judges awarded Carter Efe a unanimous decision victory. Organizers declared him the champion for the night.
Fans inside the arena reacted with surprise after Carter Efe secured the win. Many had expected Portable to dominate because of his boxing pedigree and pre-fight boasts. Portable’s team had also displayed strong confidence with public training sessions and traditional preparations, yet they could not overcome Efe’s reach and energy.
Carter Efe celebrated his victory and claimed the belt in the ring. Victor Boniface had earlier promised him a trip to Germany if he won. The result added another chapter to the ongoing rivalry between the two popular figures and highlighted the growing appeal of celebrity boxing in Nigeria.
