2027: Tompolo Launches Door-to-Door Campaign for Tinubu in Katsina

High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo, flagged off the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Katsina State at the weekend. He founded and convened the group to build grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Tompolo chose Katsina as the first northern state for the launch. The event took place at the People’s Square in Katsina. Officials inaugurated 34 local government coordinators there and presented campaign vehicles to each of them.

High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi represented Tompolo at the gathering. Pondi said the movement aimed to deepen grassroots engagement and promote the Tinubu administration. He noted that the relationship between Tinubu and Katsina rested on trust, confidence and inclusion.

Tompolo, through his representative, urged members to carry the message into wards, communities, markets and households. “Our responsibility is to go from door to door, from ward to ward and from community to community, engaging the people and explaining the programmes and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration,” he stated.

The distribution of the 34 vehicles formed a central part of the inauguration. Coordinators from all local government areas of the state received the cars to support their work.

Meanwhile, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda addressed the crowd and assured Tinubu of the state’s support for his re-election bid. Radda described Katsina as a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress. He pointed out that every elected political office holder in the state belonged to the party and that its structure remained united across the 34 local government areas.

“Katsina State is an APC state. Every elected person in Katsina State is a member of the All Progressives Congress, and I want to assure you that Katsina State has a special attachment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Radda said. He added that the state would not let the president down and that its people would support him.

Furthermore, the governor thanked Tompolo for selecting Katsina for the northern launch. He linked the choice to the long-standing ties between the state and the Niger Delta. State APC chairman Bishir Gambo Saulawa also called for cooperation between the movement and existing party structures.

The launch marked an early step in the movement’s northern expansion as organisers prepared for wider door-to-door efforts ahead of 2027.
