Mallorca midfielder Manu Morlanes broke the deadlock in the 41st minute. He collected a cross from defender Pablo Maffeo, controlled the ball neatly and finished low past Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrii Lunin.
Earlier, Mallorca forward Vedat Muriqi missed a header from close range, but the hosts defended stoutly and limited Real Madrid to long-range efforts.
Real Madrid dominated possession after the break and introduced substitutes Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham to increase attacking pressure. However, Mallorca goalkeeper Leo Roman produced several key saves to keep the score level. The visitors created 15 shots overall but struggled to convert their chances.
Real Madrid defender Eder Militao equalised in the 88th minute. He rose highest to head in a corner delivered by Trent Alexander-Arnold. The goal sparked brief celebrations, yet Real Madrid immediately pushed forward in search of a winner.
Mallorca substitute Mateo Joseph then set up striker Vedat Muriqi in the first minute of added time. Muriqi hammered a right-footed shot past Lunin for his 19th league goal of the season. The strike secured a vital three points for the home side.
The result lifted Mallorca to 17th place and moved the team two points clear of the relegation zone. Real Madrid stayed second on 69 points but could trail leaders Barcelona by seven points after the later match.
The defeat marked Mallorca’s first win over Real Madrid since February 2023 and handed the visitors their fifth league loss of the campaign.
