Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving public education in the state.
Soludo made this statement in an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.
“We made an intentional decision to rescue and revamp our public school system.
“There’s no education without teachers. We recruited 8,115 teachers. That’s the first thing we did in the first nine months. We recruited them competitively from 18 states in Nigeria.
“The interest of the Anambra child is to be taught by the best teacher in the world not by the incompetent one from his village,” he said.
