PSG Beat Chelsea 3–0 to Book Champions League Quarter-Final Spot

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday. The victory secured progression to the quarter-finals for the French club.

PSG had already built a commanding lead from the first leg and completed the job at Stamford Bridge with clinical finishing and strong control.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the sixth minute. The Georgian forward struck early and gave PSG momentum from the start.

Bradley Barcola added a second goal in the 14th minute with a powerful half-volley from the edge of the penalty area. The strike left Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen with little chance and extended the aggregate advantage.

The visitors continued to dictate play after the interval. They limited Chelsea to few clear opportunities and defended solidly. In the 62nd minute, Barcola scored again to make it 3-0 on the night. His second goal of the match sealed the result and confirmed PSG’s place in the last eight.

Chelsea pressed for a comeback but failed to break down the PSG defence. The English side had won the first leg of previous encounters in other competitions, yet they could not overturn the deficit this time. PSG advanced with an 8-2 aggregate scoreline across the two legs.

PSG head coach Luis Enrique spoke after the match. He said the team showed the required focus and quality to progress. Kvaratskhelia also commented on the result and highlighted the collective effort that delivered the clean sheet and comfortable win.

The outcome marked another strong European showing for Paris Saint-Germain. They now prepare for the quarter-final draw while Chelsea exit the competition at the round of 16 stage.
