Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Godswill Akpabio FC have declared Energy Kennedy Otunuya Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).
Godswill Akpabio FC made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
They stated that the player failed to resume with the rest of his teammates for the second stanza preparation.
Godswill Akpabio FC said that the player has failed to communicate with the club on his whereabout.
“The management of Godswill Akpabio FC hereby informed the general public that Energy Kennedy Otunuya has been Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) since April, 2025,” Part of the statement reads.
“Otunuya has failed to resume with the rest of his teammates for second stanza preparation, there has been no communication or response from the player on his return.”
Godswill Akpabio FC have informed the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and the league body about the development.
