Hamas has released a video featuring Israeli hostage, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, sighted in a vehicle moving through war-torn streets of Gaza City, including a stop outside the Red Cross headquarters. The footage ends with the appearance of another unidentified captive.
In the video, Gilboa-Dalal delivered a chilling message directed at the Israeli government. He asserted:
“We thought we were prisoners of Hamas; but the truth is we are prisoners of our own government of Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smotrich.”
He warned that entry into Gaza City would likely be fatal for the hostages and said their fate now hinged on decisions made by Israel’s leadership. He continued:
“I am terrified at the thought of an army attack on Gaza. That means I will die here along with eight other captives.”
In a desperate plea, Gilboa-Dalal implored Israeli citizens to take to the streets, creating chaos in order to pressure the government into securing their release and halting the conflict:
“I call on Israelis to protest strongly, create chaos, and cause problems for the government in order to secure our release and stop the war.” He further condemned Israeli leaders, stating:
“They lie all the time; they do not want us to return.”
The release of this hostage video comes amid an intensifying military campaign in Gaza and mounting international pressure for a ceasefire.
