Davido Addresses Viral Claim Of Being Slapped By Fan In Warri, Says Security Hit Him By Mistake

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has clarified reports that he was slapped during a recent outing in Warri, Delta State.

A video that circulated online appeared to show the singer surrounded by fans and security personnel, with a brief moment that suggested he had been hit on the head.

The clip prompted social media reactions, including a post by X user #AsakyGRN, who wrote: “Warri people no get joy oo. See dem sl@p Davido for head.”

Responding on his official X handle on Monday, Davido explained that the incident was a misunderstanding.

He revealed that it was his own security aide who accidentally hit him, tweeting: “Mumu that was my security .. hit me by mistake .. sadists.”

His clarification has since put an end to the speculations generated by the viral video.
