Social media activist Scott Iguma Granted Bail After Three Days in Custody Over PWAN Defamation Allegations.

The Lagos State High Court has granted bail to social media activist, Scott Iguma, three days after he was remanded over allegations of criminal defamation against a real estate company called PWAN.

Scott had earlier been ordered into custody last Thursday by the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, following his arrest at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba. He is facing a 10-count charge related to alleged defamation and publication of false information.

The case stems from a video posted by Scott last week, in which he accused PWAN real estate of defrauding their clients. He reportedly submitted over 130 petitions from alleged victims to EFFC, claiming the real estate company issued receipts instead of actual land & proper documents to their investors.

His arrest triggered widespread criticism on social media, with some public figures like VeryDarkMan, Stanley Ontop, and

Harrison Gwamnishu condemning his arrest and accusing PWAN real estate of trying to bully him and suppress his voice.

PWAN founder, Augustine Onwumere, has denied any involvement in the arrest, stating he only went to the police to clarify matters after seeing a video that Iguma made about his real estate company.

Me: Should PWAN company be held accountable or not? Your thought guys.
