France coach Didier Deschamps praised the opponent’s quality. “Morocco has confirmed that they are a great team. You don’t reach the World Cup quarter-finals by accident,” Deschamps said. He also stressed the need for offensive efficiency.
The victory sent France into the semifinals against the winner of Spain versus Belgium. The match highlighted France’s attacking depth with Mbappé and Dembélé delivering decisive contributions. Morocco ended its campaign with pride after another strong World Cup showing.
