BREAKING: APC Confident of Early Win, Says Adeleke Will Be Defeated by 10pm

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress inaugurated its campaign council on Tuesday. The party officials declared confidence that they would unseat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 governorship election.

Mr Oluwole Oke, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, spoke after the inauguration ceremony. He said the APC would defeat Governor Adeleke by 10pm on election day. Oke added that the party planned an issue-driven campaign to persuade voters to support its candidate, Mr Bola Oyebamiji.

Oke described Oyebamiji as the best man for the job. He stressed that the campaign would focus on key issues that affect residents of Osun State. The APC official reminded party members that they specialized in removing sitting governors.

He stated, “I want to remind you that we are specialists in removing sitting Governors, by 10 pm on election day, Governor Adeleke will be defeated at the poll fairly.” Oke expressed belief that the victory would come through credible votes from the people.

The inauguration marked a formal start for the APC structures ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Officials set up various committees to coordinate activities across the state.

Oke noted that the team would embark on community outreach. He said the approach would convince residents to vote for change. The APC leader claimed that Governor Adeleke had fallen short of expectations in office.

Governor Ademola Adeleke dismissed the APC boast. He accused the opposition party of showing fear about the upcoming election.

The governor maintained that his administration delivered people-oriented projects. He previously vowed to defeat the APC candidate through the support of Osun residents.

Political observers noted the sharp exchange between the two parties. Both sides intensified preparations for the poll as the election date drew closer. The Independent National Electoral Commission had earlier assured stakeholders of a transparent process.

The APC campaign council promised to sustain momentum through consistent engagement. Officials said they would monitor developments closely until results emerged on election day.
