Eid-el-Fitr: APC Calls on Nigerians to Keep Praying for Peace and Unity

The All Progressives Congress extended warm felicitations to Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr. The party marked the successful end of the holy month of Ramadan. Officials described Eid-el-Fitr as a time of gratitude to Allah for strength shown during fasting, reflection and obedience.

All Progressives Congress National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka released the statement on Friday. He urged citizens to continue their prayers beyond the festival.

“As we celebrate, we urge Nigerians to sustain their prayers for peace, unity and progress of our dear nation, while upholding the virtuous essence of Ramadan, including penitence, sacrifice and obedience,” Morka stated.

Furthermore, the party expressed hope that these prayers would strengthen bonds across Nigeria. Morka added that the occasion symbolised spiritual renewal and fostered family and community ties through charity, prayer and peaceful coexistence.

In addition, the statement called on Nigerians to reach out to the less privileged. Morka emphasised acts of kindness during the celebrations. “The occasion of Eid-el-Fitr also beckons on us to reach out to the needy and less privileged around us with kindness, love and fellowship,” he said.

Moreover, he prayed that the sacrifices of the faithful would bring lasting peace and unity. The party encouraged collective efforts toward enduring progress and shared prosperity.

APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda issued a separate message through Special Adviser Abimbola Tooki. He commended President Bola Tinubu for steadfast leadership and urged support for the president, Vice President Kashim Shettima and security agencies.

Yilwatda described Ramadan as a sacred journey that instilled discipline and compassion vital for nation-building.

The messages aligned on the need for unity after Ramadan. Nigerians received calls to carry forward the month’s lessons into daily life.
